What Am I Tasting?

Can you hear the notes of this mouthfilling, velvety red with lots of bass?

December 19, 2013

Our blind tasting game—without the tasting! Can you identify a wine just by reading its tasting note? We post real Wine Spectator reviews. You use clues such as color, aromas, flavors and structure to figure out the grape, age and origin. Good luck!

Tasting Note: Offers a mouthfilling, velvety feel, with plum compote, hoisin sauce, and blackberry pâte de fruit flavors, supported by a smoldering charcoal spine. Presents lots of bass, but a floral note adds a hint of treble on the finish. Drink now through 2020.
