Introduced to California during the Gold Rush, Zinfandel has found success in the Golden State like nowhere else. With more than 47,000 acres planted, it's the third-leading variety in the state. The grape's fruit-forward appeal is on full display in this week's selection, which includes a few bottlings from historic vineyards.
