Cognac for the 21st Century
Cognac—or more broadly, brandy—held a preeminent place in the golden age of cocktails before losing its popularity and giving way to a preponderance of domestic spirits at the American bar. But lately, bartenders across the country—with help from Cognac producers—are applying their mixological talents to bringing back the Cognac classics with twists of their own. Wine Spectator's Jack Bettridge explains.
