The prices of these wines reflect SHEER silliness!!

You can purchase Cabernet/Cabernet blends for $40 to $80 from Washington that are equal or better!! And you don't have to wait 15 years plus to drink them.

But, then again, if everyone discovered the Greatness of Washington than their prices might creep up to the same Bloated price levels of the wines reviewed above.

Cheerio Garcon!!

Fyi, the prices listed are recently realized auction prices. So, people are willingly bidding for these wines.

Price is always relative to value. Prestige/brand recognition carries a premium.

As for not having to wait 10 or 15 years to have the wine drinkable, that, many people would argue, is not a sign of greatness in a wine...so, the collectability of age worthy Bordeaux is also worth a premium for some folks.

Do I recommend people pay high prices for any wine? No...but they certainly can if they want to.
