What more could a four-day festival packed with incredible dinners and tastings spotlighting some of the world's most renowned chefs offer? How about a partnership with the world's leading wine magazine? The Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival (PBFWF) has announced a joint venture with Wine Spectator, part of a plan to expand the growing festival's programming.

Now in its 16th year, the PBFWF will hold its 2023 event Dec. 7–10. Founded by David Sabin and Lindsay Autry, the event celebrates incredible cuisine and top-rated wines and spirits made by some of the world’s most renowned chefs, winemakers and distillers, allowing food and wine lovers to enjoy them in a variety of idyllic settings.

"Marvin R. Shanken, editor and publisher of Wine Spectator, is not just a long-time friend of the festival, but also a personal friend to me and Lindsay," said Sabin. "Our relationship grew organically; I'd bounce ideas off him, and always valued his feedback because it was clear that we shared the same passion for food, beverage and community. This has been 10-plus years in the making, not because we necessarily ‘wanted’ a partner, but because we knew Marvin was the partner we needed."

PBFWF will draw on Wine Spectator's experience, especially with building signature wine events such as the New York Wine Experience, to expand its programming and attract more top names from the worlds of wine and food.

The partnership also announced that the Els for Autism Foundation will be the designated charity for this event, with a portion of ticket sales going to the organization. Co-founded by Marvin R. Shanken, Ernie Els and Liezl Els in 2009, the foundation is headquartered in Jupiter, Fla., home to The Els Center of Excellence, a world-class, 26-acre campus and learning center.

"We are proud to partner with Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival, bringing our knowledge, expertise and industry relationships to this extraordinary, upscale event, featuring a variety of fine dining experiences," said Shanken. "I fully expect both our readers and wine industry partners to become actively involved."
