Grifalco della Lucania Aglianico del Vulture Grifalco 2019 (92 points, $26)
Fragrant with Mediterranean scrub and tobacco notes, this bright red offers a core of crushed black raspberry, wild strawberry and peach fruit, with citrus peel, graphite and tarry mineral accents. The firm, sinewy tannins are well-meshed, but emerge on the spiced finish. Best from 2024 through 2029. 2,084 cases made, 800 cases imported. From Italy.—Alison Napjus
