Casaloste Chianti Classico 2019 (92 points, $23)
A firm, linear red, marked by complex aromas and flavors of cherry, strawberry, fresh mushroom, tobacco and menthol, with earth, iron and tobacco accents on the long finish. This is balanced and should age nicely over the next decade or two. Sangiovese and Merlot. Best from 2024 through 2035. 2,250 cases made, 1,000 cases imported. From Italy.—Bruce Sanderson
