Wine Budget July 2010 to July 2011
I have approximately $3,200 budgeted for wine for the next 12 months. I have a few ideas.
Here's what I came up with after checking the prices on Wine Spectator.com's Wine Ratings Search and availability via other Internet searches. Hmm? I guess I can change the lists either way. My larger list is a little over budget. Guess I will leave a bottle of the Terlano out or something?
Option 1
$3,200 1 bottle of 2009 Le Pin futures
Option 2
$378 6 bottles Jacquesson Brut Champagne Cuvée nº 733 NV
$210 6 bottles 2009 Domaine Tempier Bandol Rosé
$120 6 bottles 2008 Terlano Pinot Bianco Alto Adige Classico
$222 6 bottles 2006 Schiopetto Tocai Friulano Collio
$138 6 bottles 2008 Christian Moreau Père & Fils Chablis
$138 6 bottles 2008 Terredora Greco di Tufo Loggia della Serra
$180 6 bottles 2008 Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc RRV
$138 6 bottles 2008 Domaine du Vissoux Les Trois Roches
$210 6 bottles 1998 Château La Pointe Pomerol
$675 3 bottles 1998 Château La Mission-Haut-Brion
$360 3 bottles 2001 Vieux-Château-Certan Pomerol
$450 3 bottles 1970 Warre Vintage Port
$3,219 Total
(I hope you get the point of this blog. I could have chosen many other wines. I just made the above list "off the top of my head." But $3,200 buys you a lot of great wine that is available in the marketplace right now! And I will probably spend a lot more.)
