With the 2018 vintage, Portugal’s Douro Valley saw an unprecedented fourth straight harvest to deliver a batch of high-quality Vintage Ports, despite some challenges during the growing season. Though not in the league of 2017 or 2016, the 2018s are very solid, giving lovers of Port plenty to cherry-pick. Senior editor James Molesworth reviews the latest fortified wines, including 28 Vintage Ports scoring 90 points or higher, as well as tawny and ruby Ports that show impressive quality.
