Burgundy's legendary Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti joins the latest episode of Straight Talk for an exclusive rare interview covering his auction-darling Pinot Noirs, his first encounter with Robert Mondavi, and his role in the controversial 1976 Judgment of Paris tasting.

Southern France wine star Gérard Bertrand, the subject of our May issue cover story, talks about his new $195 rosé, and NBA Hall of Famer turned (multiple) winery owner Tony Parker tells us which wines he'll open for his Basketball Hall of Fame induction. Straight Talk host James Molesworth is also joined by podcast director Rob Taylor and Wine Spectator senior editors Bruce Sanderson and Kristen Bieler, and we also unravel a little bit of the mystery behind the mysterious Dr. Vinny.

Wine Spectator's Straight Talk podcast is available exclusively—and for free—at WineSpectator.com/Podcast. Hosted by senior editor and special projects director James Molesworth, each episode spotlights subjects featured in the most recent issues of Wine Spectator magazine, with episode 8 taking its cue from the May 31, 2023, issue.

Listeners can email their questions and comments to StraightTalk@WineSpectator.com; the next episode of Straight Talk will spotlight the June 15 & 30, 2023, issue—only at WineSpectator.com/Podcast.
