Chatham Bars Inn opened its doors in 1914 along the beaches of Cape Cod. But it wasn’t until 2012 that the historic destination added its flagship restaurant, Stars. In just a year, the restaurant earned Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence, a title it has held ever since.
Helmed by director of outlets and wine, Dean Iampietro, the 350-selection wine list offers a range of choices, including around 30 selections available by the glass. Guests can expect top picks of California Cabernet and Chardonnay, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne.
To match, chef Anthony Cole prepares regionally-focused menus partly sourced from the inn’s farm. Dishes like local oysters served with smoked tomato mignonette, a wild mushroom salad with house-made mushroom garum and celery hearts and seared duck breast with cranberry, squash and sourdough croutons grace the dinner menu, which is available Wednesday through Saturday.
