After honing her skills in several New York kitchens (including Wine Spectator Grand Award winner '21' Club), Rebecca Kirhoffer returned to her hometown of Greenwich, Conn., with husband and fellow chef Reza Khorshidi to open Rebeccas in 1997. More than two decades later, the restaurant has become a cornerstone of the local dining scene and a neighborhood go-to for special occasions. Khorshidi helms the kitchen, crafting modern American cuisine through a lens of classic French techniques. The menu highlights global ingredients as well as ones from the restaurant’s own garden, with luxurious dishes such as foie gras dumplings in a black truffle reduction and lobster with lemon risotto. Kirhoffer oversees the Award of Excellence–winning wine program. Updated daily, the list comprises 150 selections with a focus on France and additional picks from countries like Italy, Portugal, Hungary and the United States. You’ll also find a strong selection of half-bottles and wines by the glass.
