This summing-up of Australian wine reviews replaces the individual reports on reds and whites published in previous years (Oct. 15 and Dec. 15, respectively, in 2009). Because this report comes at a much earlier point in the calendar, the 450 wines covered here represent only about half the total of last year's twin reports. Several top names from those stories did not arrive in time for review in this one, including Henschke, Elderton, Grosset, Mollydooker and the A-list wines from Penfolds and Two Hands.
