John Kapon has the instinct to win big remains alive and well in the third-generation leader of his family's wine firm, Acker Merrall & Condit. In 2011, Kapon put all the right moves on the global wine auction market, gaveling down $110.4 million in wine sales, the largest total ever achieved by a wine auctioneer in a single year. Wine Spectator's Pete Hellman reports.
