As demand for value wines continues to grow, producers are increasingly employing alternative packaging, such as cardboard boxes, aluminum cans and plastic bottles to keep costs down. For years, the wines packaged inside these containers have had a reputation for underperforming in terms of quality. But that is beginning to change.
