Conducting blind tastings is at the core of Wine Spector’s operations. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, closing offices and complicating the delivery of wines, tasting wines for review became a constant challenge. Putting in a lot of extra effort—and miles, the publication's tasters and tasting coordinators ensured that a diverse range of 11,000 wines was reviewed in 2020.
