2018 Distinguished Service Award: Grace and Ken Evenstad

2018 Distinguished Service Award: Grace and Ken Evenstad
(Carolyn Wells-Kramer)
Oct 8, 2018
As standard-bearers for quality and tireless advocates for Oregon, Grace and Ken Evenstad are the recipients of the 2018 Wine Spectator Distinguished Service Award. Since purchasing land in Willamette Valley in 1989 and founding Domaine Serene—named after the couple's daughter—the Evenstads have helped transform Willamette Valley from a sleepy community to one of the most respected and dynamic wine regions in the United States. They are also deeply involved in giving back to the community: Among other philanthropic pursuits, they donated $6 million toward wine education at the nearby Linfield College in 2018.
