A half-century before cult wines became the rage, there was Stony Hill Vineyard in Napa Valley, the quintessential mom-and-pop, garage-sized boutique. The vineyard was recently sold to the Hall family of Long Meadow Ranch. But knowing that second acts rarely achieve the success of the original, Wine Spectator's James Laube is rooting for Stony Hill to defy the odds once again.
