Archaeologists from the Israel Antiquities Authority have unearthed a gigantic winery in the town of Yavne following a two-year excavation for the Israel Land Authority. The identification of the facility, which includes grape presses, storage warehouses and kilns to make amphorae, add to recent discoveries across the globe that show winemaking is a millennia-old practice.
