Set alongside Verona's 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheater in the Piazza Bra', the gracious Palazzo della Gran Guardia building held the third annual "OperaWine," a showcase tasting of 100 great Italian wineries. A collaborative effort of Wine Spectator and Veronafiere, organizers of Vinitaly, one of the world's largest wine fairs, this annual event takes place on the eve of the fair. Each of the 100 producers selected by Wine Spectator pours one of its top wines, in a fine display of the quality and diversity of the country's wine regions.
