While spending a few weeks in the region, Molesworth visits numerous châteaus, interviews many vintners and evaluates hundreds of wines, some at the châteaus and most in blind tastings organized by Wine Spectator at independent locations. Below are reviews, with scores and full tasting notes, for red Bordeaux barrel samples with potential scores in the 93- to 96-point range or higher.
