Wine Spectator senior editor James Molesworth returns to Bordeaux for the start of his annual ritual: tasting the barrel samples from the most recently completed vintage of red, white and sweet wines.

France's largest and arguably most prominent wine region unveils its newest wines every spring in a period called en primeur. It's the first time the wines are officially shown to the public—négociants, press, retail buyers and more all come through the region en masse to taste the wines. James is in Bordeaux this time to taste the 2015 vintage, sharing news from his château visits and reviews of the young wines. His barrel scores and tasting notes will help guide anyone interested in purchasing the wines as futures.
