I had dinner with my family in Southern California during the first week in
January, and we drank a 2006 La Crema Chardonnay Sonoma Coast ($19.99) with
steamed asparagus and fried eggs that delivered plenty of vanilla, apple pie
character with a full body and a creamy texture. It was a little
one-dimensional, but I thought it was a solid white for a good price. I
scored it 88 points, non-blind.
