what am i tasting?

Every two weeks, we post a real Wine Spectator tasting note. Read the description carefully, noting the color, tastes, aromas and other important clues.

Then, figure out the correct answers in four multiple-choice categories: Variety, Country or Region of Origin, Approximate Age, and Appellation. Submit your guess and check the answer. Good luck!

Tasting note

Posted: January 29, 2015 Mature, with oxidative hints, as the citrus peel, walnut and lemon chiffon notes are followed by salted butter, apple peel and melon flavors. Shows good tension on the finish, with a bitter citrus edge lending some spine. Drink now.
