The 2002 vintage was insipid in Tuscany and, unfortunately, vintage 2003 is not going to be a huge improvement. Although a handful of extraordinary wines were produced in '03, the vintage is extremely inconsistent in quality, producing just about everything from rich and plush reds to weak, alcoholic and acidic ones.
