As the Cape wine industry matures, the varietal landscape is changing

South Africa is doing a number of things right these days, namely Syrah, Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. The Cape's winemakers are beginning to focus on these varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon is still a player as well) as they move Pinotage and other lesser grapes to the background.
