After difficult vintages in 2002 (cold and rainy) and 2003 (scorching hot), Rioja enjoyed successful, balanced growing seasons in both 2004 and 2005. The red wines, based mostly on the Tempranillo grape, show a beautiful combination of ripe fruit and freshness.
