Tasting Highlights: More 2004 White Burgundy

The best domaines and houses excelled in Puligny-Montrachet in 2004, but choose carefully

Based on my tastings to date (more than 170 villages and premiers crus from Chassagne, Puligny and Meursault), the 2004s from Puligny-Montrachet show less consistency than those from its neighbors. Nonetheless, there are some excellent bottles hailing from Puligny's single vineyards.
