Champy is the oldest house in Burgundy, founded in 1720. In 1989, the 10 acres encompassing Champy's vineyards were sold to Louis Jadot. In 1990, the Champy name, historical building and cellars in the center of Beaune, and inventory were acquired by Pierre Meurgey, his father Henri and Pierre Beuchet.
