The Loire continues to fly under the radar of most American consumers, which is a shame since it offers a terrific diversity of bottlings, many at extremely wallet-friendly prices. Current releases are dominated by the 2004 vintage, which is a solid one for the region, with crisp, fresh whites and reds.
