Gérard Bertrand is a former French rugby star who has found a second career making some of the best reds in the south of France. His Coteaux du Languedoc La Clape is a blend of 60 percent Syrah and 40 percent Mourvèdre, and the Minervois La Livinière Le Viala is a blend of Syrah (60 percent), Grenache (25 percent) and Carignane (15 percent).
