Austria may be best known for its flavorful dry white wines made from Grüner Veltliner or Riesling, but it's also home to some of the most distinctive sweet wines in the world. The best of these come from low-lying vineyards near Neusiedler See, the long, shallow lake in the Burgenland district, southeast of Vienna.
