Tasting Highlights: Chilean Whites on the Rise

Better clones and site selection improve quality

Chilean whites—Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, primarily—continue to show steady improvement. Two key factors have led to the increase in wine quality. The first is the reduction of inferior Sauvignonasse and Sauvignon Vert grapes that for many years were widespread among the Sauvignon Blanc vineyards.
