Emmanuel Reynaud, 44, has been in charge at Château Rayas since taking over from his late uncle Jacques in the 1997 vintage. Since then, Reynaud has consistently produced perfumy, elegantly styled wines that deliver more grace than power (save for the Fonsalette Syrah).
