A range of Pinot Noirs shows both the promise and the difficulty of California when it comes to this finicky variety: Price is not a clear predictor of quality. Peter Michael's 2006 Moulin Rouge Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir demonstrates the winery's ability to excel in the Santa Lucia Highlands with this grape.
