It must be getting boring for fans of the Southern Rhône: Another strong vintage in 2005 continues the region's run of excellent years, which started in 1998 (save for 2002). But if you can't get enough of these dark fruit- and earth-filled wines, then you'll love 2005, which easily rivals 1998 and 1990, though in a different style.
