Tasting Highlights: 2004 Côte-Rôtie

The region's best producers offer excellent wines despite the lackluster vintage

2004 is not a great vintage for Northern Rhône reds. Yields were high and the weather during harvest was not ideal, resulting in a number of light-bodied wines that show a pronounced herbal character and crisp acidity.
