The iconic wineries of Bordeaux seem to be able to make superb wines even in difficult vintages such as 2002. All it takes is determination and hard work. I tasted nearly 500 wines from 2002 in blind tastings in Bordeaux during autumn and the majority of the reds were only mediocre to good in quality.
