Summer Activities
|
|
August | September |
All year long, wineries and distributors host tastings and charity auctions. But there's no denying that summer brings a special allure. Wine tastings move outdoors into the balmy air, and vacationers happily bid at alfresco charity auctions or sample delectable appetizers in tents under the stars.
We've gathered up a sample -- and we emphasize that it's just a sample -- of the wine-related events happening across the United States, from the Temecula Valley Wine and Balloon Festival, which kicks off in June, to September's Kendall-Jackson's Heirloom Tomato Festival. Make sure you check the Calendar of Events for other happenings. (By the way, if you're sponsoring a wine event, you're welcome to post it on the calendar.)
If you plan on traveling to wine country, please check out our winery profiles and winery locator section. (Just be sure to call ahead before you visit).
That isn't all -- following are some summer-oriented menus and wine pairings as well as a sampling of our Travel features.
