California Gov. Gray Davis presented a certificate to Mondavi and declared June 18 to be Robert Mondavi Day.		Robert Mondavi's son Michael, chairman of the winery, jokes around with comedian and master of ceremonies Tommy Smothers.


Thomas Keller of The French Laundry and Bob Hurley of Hurley's were among the Napa chefs who prepared food for the party.		Jazz pianist Dave Brubeck played "Happy Birthday" while a cake is brought out.


Chef Cindy Pawlcyn, owner of Mustard's Grill, commended Mondavi for supporting Napa's culinary community.		Robert's brother, Peter Mondavi, owner of Charles Krug; Robert worked at the family winery before a dispute prompted him to head out on his own.


Alis and Richard Arrowood sold their Arrowood winery in Sonoma Valley to Mondavi in 2000.
