Southern hospitality is the name of the game at downtown Atlanta's White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails, where traditional comfort food gets a refined touch. The seasonal menu, overseen by executive chef Todd Richards, offers Southern staples with a playful twist, with items like shrimp beignets, a wild boar sandwich, and snapper served with sautéed sunchokes, winter citrus, fennel, pomegranate and arugula. A 360-degree island bar displays a collection of more than 70 whiskeys and Bourbons, plus a variety of other quality spirits. Cindy LeBlanc, who owns White Oak with her husband, Alan, oversees the Award of Excellence–winning wine list, which offers a selection of 30 wines by the glass and has strengths in California, France, Italy and Spain.
