In downtown St. Petersburg, Fla., just a few blocks off the Tampa Bay waterfront, satisfy your seafood and wine cravings at Sea Salt St. Pete. Right away, you’ll be greeted by the restaurant’s 22-foot-tall wine tower, which houses its inventory of more than 4,200 bottles. Justin Chamoun leads the program, which earned a Best of Award of Excellence in 2016, with 715 selections. The moderately priced list is rich in bottles from California, France and Italy. Pay particular attention to the Italian verticals, which include gems like Ceretto Brunate Barolo back to 2006 and Tenuta San Guida Sassicaia Bolgheri to 2009. Chef Kenneth Tufo’s Italian menu pays homage to its seaside setting with dishes like octopus with smoked paprika and crispy whole snapper with broccolini, as well as homemade pastas, braised beef short ribs and a variety of steaks.
