Alsace, in the far northeastern corner of France, has for centuries produced distinctive and alluring white wines. Pinot Gris (sometimes called Tokay Pinot Gris or Tokay d'Alsace) is one of the most widely planted varieties in this area, along with Riesling and Gewürztraminer.
