Local restaurants served up shrimp cocktail, seafood gumbo, raw oysters and clams, and other dishes to enjoy with the wines. Muscadet's acidity pairs well with the local cuisine of Nantes -- such as shellfish and simply prepared fish -- as well as green salads, raw and steamed vegetables, noodles with Asian sauces, chicken and any dish that calls for a squeeze of lemon.
