Collecting Q&A: Selling One Bottle of Château Rouget 1947

Q: Who would I contact to get information about auctioning off a bottle of Château Rouget 1947?—Arthur J. Cavazos, Dallas, Tex.

A: According to the second-half 2006 Wine Spectator Auction Index, a bottle of Château Rouget 1947 sold for $478 at Acker Merrall & Condit. Its previous high was $531. Most commercial auction houses do not accept small consignments worth less than $5,000, so I would consider some of the established Internet auctioneers where the terms are more flexible.
