Collecting Q&A: Is Orange Curacao Collectible?

Peter D. Meltzer

Q: I have recently purchased a small collection from a person returning to England. Among the bottles is a clay bottle of orange Curacao, labeled 1917. Can you please tell me where I can find info regarding its value? --Larry Kuzminski, Duxbury, Mass.

A: Wine Spectator does not track vintage-dated Curacao, and to my belief it has never cropped up at auction. Your best bet might be to check with a specialty retailer.
