Q:I have a bottle of Fonseca 1977 Vintage Port. I think it may be ready for drinking, but I am still unsure whether I should open such a fine bottle. Should I cellar it further or just enjoy it now? —Adam, Tel-Aviv
A: Fonseca Vintage Port 1977 scored a perfect 100 points on Wine Spectator's 100-point scale. The bottle is ready to drink now, though you could still give it a little time to develop further. You don't indicate if you would be interested in selling your bottle, but just so you know, the most recent auction average is $180.
