Wines from eight top domaines point toward a potentially outstanding vintage

In early November, I visited several domaines in the Northern Rhône Valley, where I tasted the 2004 reds and whites. Overall, they are taking shape nicely as they continue to mature in barrel. (Some of the whites have already been bottled and will be arriving in stores this winter.
