Beaujolais: Dueling Vintages

France's warm 2005 vintage plays the big brother, with high quality wines that overshadow 2006's moderate success

The Gamay grape reigns in France's Beaujolais region, and though bottlings of this varietal are rarely found elsewhere in the world, it would be a mistake to dismiss Gamay as the grape of the popular-one-day-a-year Beaujolais Nouveau wines.
