Christian Moueix is a French vintner perhaps best known for his classic Merlot-based wines from Pomerol and St.-Emilion, in Bordeaux. Moueix comes from a powerful family, and has also made his own mark on the world of wine, most notably with his leadership of the iconic Château Pétrus. For his expert stewardship of legendary terroirs, his integrity and his philanthropy, Moueix earns our Distinguished Service Award for 2011.
